NOFA Summer Conference: Call for Workshop Proposals | NESAWG
The deadline for workshop proposals for the 42nd annual Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) Summer Conference has been extended to March 1. – The NOFA Summer Conference is the Northeast’s foremost conference for pioneers of organic agriculture and sustainable living! This year’s conference will be held on August 12-14, 2016 at UMASS Amherst.
Workshop proposals will now be accepted until March 1st. The proposal form can be found at www.nofasummerconference.org/workshops.
Proposals on the following topics are particularly encouraged, though all topics are welcome:
- production of specific crops
- greenhouse/season extension
- politics and policy
- practical skills
- soil fertility
- social justice
- urban agriculture
- alternative energy
- animal husbandry
- farm economics and management
- farming and the community
- foraging and wild edibles
- fruits, nuts and trees
- gardening
