Dear Friends of NESAWG:

You and NESAWG may have something to offer one another. Our participants include farmers, nutritionists, gardeners, scientists, engineers, architects, educators, market managers, advocates, artists, professors and others. Whatever hat you wear, you have something — your own ideas, connections and resources — that can impact agriculture and access to healthful food for our region. That’s why we’d like you to donate to NESAWG today.

NESAWG is a regional network of over 500 participating organizations and thousands of individuals throughout the Northeastern USA. Our key audience is you — the practitioners, professionals and allies, in the trenches, addressing farms and food systems from a wide range of perspectives and disciplines. We work together, to build a more just, sustainable and economically vibrant region.

As a network organization, NESAWG provides places (actual and virtual) where practitioners learn from one another, complement each other’s work, and collaborate on projects. Such cooperation is key to movement building.

In the year ahead, we will help strengthen the network by working on government policy and marketplace solutions. We’ll be:

  • Offering staff support to our Work Groups.
  • Updating the design, content and functionality of our interactive website.
  • Providing scholarships for our November 2014 conference.
  • Investigating and addressing potential tipping points that may help our movement grow.
  • Utilizing our extensive regional infrastructure of organizations and individuals to deliver our unified messages to local, national, conventional and social media.

We invite you to learn more about our resources, Workgroups and opportunities, and let us know how you’d like to be involved. Please know that we strive to make all our resources, from conference attendance, to Work Group participation and publications, available to all regardless of ability to pay. An investment in NESAWG, at any level, helps us to do this. We look forward to working with you.
